The Vietnamese Party chief, his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly and the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation are paying an official visit to Russia and attend the parade at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin. This year’s parade saw the attendance of more than 20 heads of state and government leaders, high-level delegations, and war veterans from around the world, all gathered at the Red Square to honor the historic milestone. Addressing the event, Russian President Vladimir Putin, who is Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, underlined that May 9 is a major holiday for every Russian family and for all nations that fought against fascism. He paid tribute to the immense sacrifices of tens of millions of soldiers and civilians whose contributions on both the front lines and in the rear paved the way for the victory. President Putin also acknowledged the important role played by the allied forces, whose efforts, especially through the opening of the Second Front, helped accelerate the path to the victory day. The President emphasized that the lessons from the most brutal war in human history remain relevant today. They are lessons about international solidarity, the crucial importance of the fight against racism, ethnic extremism, and toxic ideologies that incite national hatred. He also particularly stressed the danger of recent narratives that attempt to justify fascism.

Lễ diễu hành năm nay có sự tham dự của hơn 20 nguyên thủ quốc gia và lãnh đạo chính phủ, các đoàn đại biểu cấp cao và cựu chiến binh từ khắp nơi trên thế giới, tất cả đều tụ họp tại Quảng trường Đỏ để vinh danh cột mốc lịch sử này. Phát biểu tại sự kiện, Tổng thống Nga Vladimir Putin, Tổng Tư lệnh các Lực lượng Vũ trang Liên bang Nga, nhấn mạnh rằng ngày 9 tháng 5 là một ngày lễ lớn đối với mỗi gia đình Nga và tất cả các quốc gia đã chiến đấu chống lại chủ nghĩa phát xít. Ông vinh danh sự hy sinh to lớn của hàng chục triệu binh sĩ và dân thường, những người đã đóng góp cả ở tiền tuyến và hậu phương để dẫn đến chiến thắng. Tổng thống Putin cũng ghi nhận vai trò quan trọng của lực lượng đồng minh, những nỗ lực của họ, đặc biệt là việc mở Mặt trận thứ hai, đã giúp đẩy nhanh con đường đến ngày chiến thắng. Tổng thống nhấn mạnh rằng các bài học từ cuộc chiến tàn khốc nhất trong lịch sử nhân loại vẫn còn liên quan đến ngày hôm nay. Đó là những bài học về đoàn kết quốc tế, tầm quan trọng của cuộc chiến chống phân biệt chủng tộc, cực đoan sắc tộc và những tư tưởng độc hại gây kích động hận thù dân tộc. Ông cũng đặc biệt nhấn mạnh nguy cơ từ những câu chuyện gần đây cố gắng biện minh cho chủ nghĩa phát xít.

President Putin called on everyone in the square to observe a minute of silence in memory of those who fell on the battlefield for a peaceful future. His message celebrating the 80th anniversary of the victory over fascism was met with three resounding shouts of "Ura" from the crowd. Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov presided over this year’s military parade. The event opened with the display of the victory banner — a replica of the flag raised over the German Reichstag on April 30, 1945 — alongside the appearance of the Russian national flag in the square. For the first time, the Vietnam People’s Army (VPA) has sent a delegation of 86 officers and soldiers to participate in this year’s military parade. That the red flag with a yellow star flying along with the flags of other participating countries such as Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, and members of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) at the Red Square creates a deeply emotional moment for the Vietnamese community in Russia and for the people of Vietnam as a whole. Vietnam's participation in the parade reaffirmed the country's foreign policy of independence, self-reliance, multilateralization and diversification. It also reflected the nation’s responsibility in building and maintaining an international environment of peace, stability, cooperation and development. The presence of the VPA delegation at the Red Square parade served as an opportunity to elevate the image, position, and mettle of the Vietnam People's Army. The military parade was broadcast live on outdoor digital screens from the Red Square and aired across numerous provinces and cities throughout the country. Both visual imagery and critical information were displayed in real-time. The Victory Day represents one of the most significant and sacred celebrations for the Russian people as it is an occasion to strengthen national solidarity and educate younger generations about the heroic fighting spirit and immense sacrifices made by their forebears for independence, freedom, and peace. The Great Patriotic War, launched by the Russian people and the former Soviet Union against Nazi Germany and its allies, constituted the most crucial and decisive component of World War II (1939-1945). Earlier, on May 9 morning (local time), Party General Secretary To Lam and his spouse attended a reception for heads of delegations attending the celebration, hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin. Following the military parade, they participated in a wreath-laying ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Aleksandrovsky Garden by the Kremlin Wall.

Lần đầu tiên, Quân đội Nhân dân Việt Nam (QĐND) đã cử một đoàn gồm 86 sĩ quan và binh sĩ tham gia lễ diễu hành quân sự năm nay. Việc lá cờ đỏ sao vàng tung bay cùng với cờ của các quốc gia khác như Belarus, Kazakhstan, Trung Quốc và các thành viên của Cộng đồng các Quốc gia Độc lập (CIS) tại Quảng trường Đỏ tạo ra một khoảnh khắc đầy cảm xúc đối với cộng đồng người Việt Nam tại Nga và đối với toàn thể nhân dân Việt Nam. Sự tham gia của Việt Nam trong lễ diễu hành khẳng định chính sách đối ngoại của quốc gia về độc lập, tự chủ, đa phương hóa và đa dạng hóa. Nó cũng phản ánh trách nhiệm của quốc gia trong việc xây dựng và duy trì một môi trường quốc tế hòa bình, ổn định, hợp tác và phát triển. Sự hiện diện của đoàn QĐND tại lễ diễu hành Quảng trường Đỏ là cơ hội để nâng cao hình ảnh, vị thế và bản lĩnh của Quân đội Nhân dân Việt Nam. Lễ diễu hành quân sự được phát sóng trực tiếp trên các màn hình kỹ thuật số ngoài trời từ Quảng trường Đỏ và phát sóng trên nhiều tỉnh và thành phố trong cả nước. Cả hình ảnh trực quan và thông tin quan trọng đều được hiển thị theo thời gian thực. Ngày Chiến thắng là một trong những lễ kỷ niệm quan trọng và thiêng liêng nhất đối với người dân Nga vì đây là dịp để củng cố sự đoàn kết quốc gia và giáo dục các thế hệ trẻ về tinh thần chiến đấu anh dũng và những hy sinh to lớn của tổ tiên họ vì độc lập, tự do và hòa bình. Chiến tranh Vệ quốc Vĩ đại, do nhân dân Nga và Liên Xô cũ phát động chống lại Đức Quốc xã và các đồng minh của nó, là thành phần quan trọng và quyết định nhất của Chiến tranh Thế giới thứ hai (1939-1945). Trước đó, vào sáng ngày 9 tháng 5 (giờ địa phương), Tổng Bí thư Tô Lâm và phu nhân đã tham dự tiệc chiêu đãi các trưởng đoàn tham dự lễ kỷ niệm, do Tổng thống Nga Vladimir Putin tổ chức. Sau lễ diễu hành quân sự, họ đã tham gia lễ đặt vòng hoa tại Mộ Chiến sĩ Vô danh ở Vườn Aleksandrovsky cạnh Bức tường Kremlin.
