Vietnam's Party chief arrives in Moscow for official visit, Victory Day

General Secretary Lam, accompanied by his spouse Ngo Phuong Ly and a high-ranking delegation, was welcomed at the Vnukovo 2 Airport by Deputy Prime Minister Chernyshenko and a number of officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Russian Ambassador to Vietnam G.S.Bezdetko and his spouse, Vietnamese Ambassador to the Russian Federation Dang Minh Khoi and his spouse; a large number of officials, staff of the Embassy and the Vietnamese community in the Russian Federation.

Immediately after the official welcome ceremony at the airport, General Secretary Lam left for the Prime Minister's Palace and met with Prime Minister Mishustin. He also attended a solemn reception for leaders of the countries attending the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War hosted by Russian President Vladimir Putin.

• Ngay sau lễ đón chính thức tại sân bay, Tổng Bí thư Lâm đã rời sân bay đến Dinh Thủ tướng và gặp Thủ tướng Mishustin. Ông cũng tham dự buổi lễ tiếp đón trọng thể dành cho các lãnh đạo các quốc gia tham dự lễ kỷ niệm 80 năm Chiến thắng trong cuộc Chiến tranh Vệ quốc vĩ đại do Tổng thống Nga Vladimir Putin chủ trì.

The official visit to the Russian Federation and attendance at the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, from May 8-11, of General Secretary Lam and his spouse along with the high-ranking Vietnamese delegation demonstrated Vietnam's respect and honor for the enormous contributions and sacrifices of the former Soviet Union and the current Russian Federation in the great victory against fascism, firmly protecting peace in the world.

• Chuyến thăm chính thức Liên bang Nga và tham dự lễ kỷ niệm 80 năm Chiến thắng trong cuộc Chiến tranh Vệ quốc vĩ đại từ ngày 8-11 tháng 5 của Tổng Bí thư Lâm và phu nhân cùng đoàn đại biểu cấp cao Việt Nam thể hiện sự tôn trọng và vinh danh của Việt Nam đối với những đóng góp to lớn và sự hy sinh của Liên Xô trước đây và Liên bang Nga hiện nay trong chiến thắng vĩ đại chống chủ nghĩa phát xít, bảo vệ vững chắc hòa bình trên thế giới.

On this occasion, Vietnam wants to further strengthen political trust between the two countries, and identify orientations to bring the traditional friendship and Comprehensive Strategic Partnership with the Russian Federation to new heights.

• Nhân dịp này, Việt Nam mong muốn tăng cường hơn nữa lòng tin chính trị giữa hai nước, và xác định phương hướng để đưa mối quan hệ hữu nghị truyền thống và Đối tác Chiến lược Toàn diện với Liên bang Nga lên tầm cao mới.

During the visit, General Secretary Lam and the high-ranking delegation of Vietnam will have important meetings with senior leaders of the Russian Federation, thereby creating new impetus in the bilateral cooperation in many fields, including traditional cooperation fields and new fields with great potential, creating more important driving forces to realize the oriented development goals in the bilateral relations between Vietnam and the Russian Federation, for the benefit of the people of the two countries, and for peace, stability, cooperation and development in the region as well as in the world.

• Trong chuyến thăm, Tổng Bí thư Lâm và đoàn đại biểu cấp cao của Việt Nam sẽ có các cuộc họp quan trọng với các nhà lãnh đạo cấp cao của Liên bang Nga, từ đó tạo ra động lực mới trong hợp tác song phương trên nhiều lĩnh vực, bao gồm các lĩnh vực hợp tác truyền thống và các lĩnh vực mới có tiềm năng lớn, tạo ra các động lực quan trọng hơn để thực hiện các mục tiêu phát triển định hướng trong quan hệ song phương giữa Việt Nam và Liên bang Nga, vì lợi ích của nhân dân hai nước, và vì hòa bình, ổn định, hợp tác và phát triển trong khu vực cũng như trên thế giới.
