Vietnam advises citizens to exercise caution amidst Thailand – Cambodia border issue

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Consular Department has advised Vietnamese nationals in Thailand and Cambodia to stay vigilant and strictly follow instructions from local authorities amid complicated security developments along the two countries’ border.

Citizens should avoid areas experiencing heightened security risks and volatile conditions while staying in close contact with Vietnam’s diplomatic missions in both nations.

Thailand and Cambodia exchanged heavy artillery fire for a second day on Friday asborderfighting intensified and spread, while Cambodia's leader saidThailandhad agreed to a Malaysian ceasefire proposal but then backed down.
