State President Luong Cuong offers incense in commemoration of Hung Kings

State President Luong Cuong, President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee Do Van Chien, Minister of National Defence Phan Van Giang, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly Nguyen Khac Dinh attended the ceremony, among others.

Thousands of people at home and abroad were also present to offer incense in memory of the Hung Kings, the nation’s legendary founders, on the 10th day of the third lunar month, .

• Hàng ngàn người dân trong và ngoài nước cũng đã có mặt để dâng hương tưởng nhớ các Vua Hùng, những người sáng lập huyền thoại của dân tộc, vào ngày 10 tháng 3 âm lịch.

The Hung Kings’ Commemoration and the Cultural and Tourism Week of the Ancestral Land 2025 will take place from March 29 to April 7 (the 1st to the 10th day of the third lunar month), featuring around 30 activities at the Hung Kings Temple Complex.

• Lễ Giỗ Tổ Hùng Vương và Tuần Văn hóa Du lịch Đất Tổ 2025 sẽ diễn ra từ ngày 29 tháng 3 đến ngày 7 tháng 4 (từ ngày 1 đến ngày 10 tháng 3 âm lịch), với khoảng 30 hoạt động tại Khu di tích Đền Hùng.

From early morning, delegates gathered in front of the ceremony yard at the Hung Temple Festival Centre. Amidst the majestic festival music, the incense offering team with national and ceremonial flags, and offerings departed from the festival centre yard through the ceremonial gate, Ha Temple, Trung Temple to Thuong Temple.

• Từ sáng sớm, các đại biểu đã tập trung trước sân lễ hội tại Trung tâm lễ hội Đền Hùng. Giữa tiếng nhạc lễ hội hùng tráng, đội dâng hương với cờ tổ quốc và cờ lễ hội, cùng các lễ vật đã xuất phát từ sân trung tâm lễ hội qua cổng nghi môn, Đền Hạ, Đền Trung đến Đền Thượng.

Leading the procession were soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army carrying the national flag, festival flags and wreaths bearing the words "Forever grateful to the Hung Kings for their contributions to building the country".

• Dẫn đầu đoàn rước là các chiến sĩ Quân đội Nhân dân Việt Nam mang theo cờ tổ quốc, cờ lễ hội và vòng hoa với dòng chữ "Đời đời nhớ ơn các Vua Hùng có công dựng nước".

Following them were young women in red ‘ao dai" (Vietnamese traditional long dress) carrying incense, flowers, and offerings, and 100 descendants of Lac Hong in ancient costumes, holding high festival flags, demonstrating the strong vitality of the Dragon Fairy lineage, along with the procession offering incense, flowers, Chung cakes, and Day cakes associated with the legend of Prince Lang Lieu.

• Theo sau là các thiếu nữ mặc áo dài đỏ mang hương, hoa và lễ vật, cùng 100 hậu duệ Lạc Hồng trong trang phục cổ truyền, cầm cao cờ lễ hội, thể hiện sức sống mạnh mẽ của dòng dõi Tiên Rồng, cùng đoàn rước dâng hương, hoa, bánh chưng và bánh dày gắn liền với truyền thuyết về Hoàng tử Lang Liêu.

Next came the delegation of leaders of the Party, the State, central agencies, and localities; leaders of Phu Tho province, departments, branches, organisations, districts, cities, towns, and people attending the incense offering ceremony.

• Tiếp đến là đoàn lãnh đạo Đảng, Nhà nước, các cơ quan trung ương và địa phương; lãnh đạo tỉnh Phú Thọ, các sở, ngành, tổ chức, huyện, thành phố, thị xã, cùng nhân dân tham dự lễ dâng hương.

At the Kinh Thien Palace, on the sacred Nghia Linh mountain, with a sincere heart to pay tribute to the ancestors, demonstrating the Vietnamese people's morality of "When drinking water, remember its source", President Luong Cuong and other Party, State and local leaders entered the Upper Palace to respectfully offer incense, flowers and offerings in memory and gratitude to the Hung Kings who built the country, and the ancestors who protected the country so that their descendants could continue the tradition of building a rich and civilized Vietnam like today.

• Tại Điện Kính Thiên, trên núi Nghĩa Lĩnh thiêng liêng, với tấm lòng thành kính tri ân tổ tiên, thể hiện đạo lý "Uống nước nhớ nguồn" của dân tộc Việt Nam, Chủ tịch nước Lương Cường và các lãnh đạo Đảng, Nhà nước và địa phương đã vào Thượng điện để thành kính dâng hương, hoa và lễ vật tưởng nhớ và tri ân các Vua Hùng đã dựng nước, và tổ tiên đã bảo vệ đất nước để con cháu tiếp tục truyền thống dựng xây một Việt Nam giàu đẹp và văn minh như ngày nay.

Cuong and other Party and State leaders laid wreaths and burned incense at the Hung Kings' Tomb; offered flowers at the relief of Uncle Ho talking to officers and soldiers of the Vanguard Army Corps at the Den Gieng (Well Temple) intersection.

Currently, Phu Tho province is home to 345 places of worship dedicated to the Hung Kings. The Hung Kings Temple Historical Complex, covering over 800 hectares, has been developed into the nation’s largest spiritual-cultural park. It serves as the central hub for worship of the Hung Kings with solemn and respectful ceremonies.

• Hiện nay, tỉnh Phú Thọ là nơi có 345 địa điểm thờ cúng các Vua Hùng. Khu di tích lịch sử Đền Hùng, rộng hơn 800 ha, đã được phát triển thành công viên văn hóa-tâm linh lớn nhất của quốc gia. Nó phục vụ như là trung tâm chính cho việc thờ cúng các Vua Hùng với những nghi lễ trang trọng và tôn kính.
