Singapore property developer Keppel eyes expansion in Vietnam

Keppel CFO Kevin Chng, in a meeting with National Assembly (NA) Chairman Tran Thanh Man Tuesday, highlighted that Vietnam is one of the countries where the company allocates a significant portion of its investment resources. Aiming to expand its investment activities into sustainable development areas such as renewable energy and data infrastructure, the company wishes to receive more support from the Vietnamese authorities to boost the effectiveness of its capital and further contribute to the nation’s sustainable development, the CFO said.

• Giám đốc tài chính (CFO) của Keppel, ông Kevin Chng, trong một cuộc họp với Chủ tịch Quốc hội (QH) Trần Thanh Mẫn hôm thứ Ba, nhấn mạnh rằng Việt Nam là một trong những quốc gia mà công ty dành một phần đáng kể nguồn lực đầu tư của mình. Nhằm mở rộng hoạt động đầu tư vào các lĩnh vực phát triển bền vững như năng lượng tái tạo và cơ sở hạ tầng dữ liệu, công ty mong muốn nhận được sự hỗ trợ nhiều hơn từ các cơ quan chức năng Việt Nam để nâng cao hiệu quả của nguồn vốn và đóng góp thêm vào sự phát triển bền vững của quốc gia, CFO cho biết.

Man, who was holding meetings with several major Singaporean corporations as part of his official visit to the country, praised the group’s effective cooperation in Vietnam, particularly in infrastructure, real estate, and renewable energy, as well as its significant contributions to the country’s urban development and its role in enhancing economic and investment relations between the two nations. Vietnam is becoming an attractive destination for many investors, including those in infrastructure development, adding Vietnamese companies are eager to collaborate with Singaporean enterprises like Keppel, particularly in infrastructure, industrial parks, urban development, and clean energy to meet Vietnam's sustainable development needs, he added. Vietnam will continue to support and facilitate the successful and effective business operations of Keppel, he affirmed.

Việt Nam sẽ tiếp tục hỗ trợ và tạo điều kiện thuận lợi cho hoạt động kinh doanh thành công và hiệu quả của Keppel, ông khẳng định.
