Fuel prices near 5-month peak

The popular fuel RON95 rose 0.99% to VND21,220, highest since Aug. 22.

• Xăng RON95 phổ biến tăng 0,99% lên 21.220 VND, cao nhất kể từ ngày 22 tháng 8.

Biofuel E5 RON92 gained 0.69% to VND20,570.

• Xăng sinh học E5 RON92 tăng 0,69% lên 20.570 VND.

Diesel went up 2.81% to VND19,780.

• Dầu diesel tăng 2,81% lên 19.780 VND.

Regulators said that prices in the last seven days were affected by increasing fuel demand in the U.S. and Europe due to cold weather.

The U.S. sanctions on Russian oil producers and transporters also pushed up fuel prices.

Gasolines gained 1.3-2.3% in the period while oils added 3.5-4%. RON95 is now priced $87.1 per barrel and diesel at $95.4.
