Durian prices tiptoe up on October 30

Prices of Ri6 and Monthong durians rose on Wednesday in the Mekong Delta and Central Highlands, Vietnam's top durian producers.
- Giá sầu riêng Ri6 và Monthong đã tăng vào thứ Tư tại Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long và Tây Nguyên, các khu vực sản xuất sầu riêng hàng đầu của Việt Nam.
The highest-grade Ri6 durian now costs VND150,000 (US$5.9) per kilogram in the Mekong Delta, up 3.4% from Tuesday. In the Central Highlands, it is priced at VND145,000 per kilogram, a 7.4% increase.
- Sầu riêng Ri6 loại cao cấp nhất hiện nay có giá 150.000 VND (5,9 USD) mỗi kilogram ở Đồng bằng sông Cửu Long, tăng 3,4% so với thứ Ba. Ở Tây Nguyên, giá là 145.000 VND mỗi kilogram, tăng 7,4%.
Monthong durian price rose by 3.2-3.9% to VND160,000 per kilogram in both regions.
- Giá sầu riêng Monthong tăng từ 3,2-3,9% lên 160.000 VND mỗi kilogram ở cả hai khu vực.
Export prices of the Ri6 variety and the Thai cultivar were unchanged at VND152,000 and VND179,000 per kilogram, respectively.

Vietnam’s fruit and vegetable exports reached $6.4 billion in the first 10 months of 2024, surpassing last year’s total of $5.7 billion, with durian being the largest contributor.

It accounted for nearly half of fruit and vegetable exports during the period, according to the Vietnam Fruits & Vegetables Association.
