Chip giant Intel seeks more suppliers in Vietnam

Intel is committed to supporting the development of the semiconductor supply chain ecosystem in Vietnam, Dr. Naga Chandrasekaran, Intel Foundry's chief global operations officer, executive vice president and general manager, said at the Intel strategic parts supplier summit 2025 on Wednesday.

The company has recognized and appreciated the Vietnamese Government's efforts in developing infrastructure and creating favorable conditions for the semiconductor industry to continue expanding, he added.

Through the forum, Intel aimed to create a platform to open up new opportunities for suppliers, support human resources development, and promote innovation to develop Vietnam's semiconductor ecosystem, he said.

• Thông qua diễn đàn, Intel nhằm tạo ra một nền tảng để mở ra các cơ hội mới cho các nhà cung cấp, hỗ trợ phát triển nguồn nhân lực và thúc đẩy đổi mới để phát triển hệ sinh thái bán dẫn của Việt Nam, ông cho biết.

Intel's factory in Vietnam will reach the milestone of 4 billion products shipped this month, a significant achievement affirming the crucial role of Intel's assembly and testing facility in Vietnam in its global operations.

• Nhà máy của Intel tại Việt Nam sẽ đạt cột mốc 4 tỷ sản phẩm được xuất xưởng trong tháng này, một thành tựu đáng kể khẳng định vai trò quan trọng của cơ sở lắp ráp và kiểm tra của Intel tại Việt Nam trong hoạt động toàn cầu của công ty.

The Wednesday event was organized in HCMC by the Saigon High-tech Park and Intel Products Vietnam with the aim of enhancing cooperation and develop semiconductor and high-tech supply chains in the country.

• Sự kiện thứ Tư được tổ chức tại TP.HCM bởi Khu Công nghệ cao Sài Gòn và Intel Products Vietnam nhằm tăng cường hợp tác và phát triển chuỗi cung ứng bán dẫn và công nghệ cao tại Việt Nam.

The event attracted leading domestic and international semiconductor component suppliers alongside numerous manufacturers in the industry.

• Sự kiện đã thu hút các nhà cung cấp linh kiện bán dẫn hàng đầu trong nước và quốc tế cùng với nhiều nhà sản xuất trong ngành.

Susan Burns, U.S. Consul General in the city, described cooperation in semiconductor and high technology as highlights in the Vietnam – US relations. She noted that the event, bringing together more than 40 suppliers, reaffirmed Intel and the US's commitment to building a strong local semiconductor supply chain.

Speaking at the event, Vo Van Hoan, vice chairman of the municipal People’s Committee, highlighted the city's complete ecosystem to develop emerging industries with sound human resources and numerous semiconductor enterprises.

He affirmed support for the business community, adding the forum served as an important bridge for businesses and investors to cooperate, share, and seek opportunities while promoting development and improving the competitiveness of HCMC's young semiconductor industry.

• Ông khẳng định sự hỗ trợ cho cộng đồng doanh nghiệp, đồng thời cho biết diễn đàn là cầu nối quan trọng để các doanh nghiệp và nhà đầu tư hợp tác, chia sẻ và tìm kiếm cơ hội trong khi thúc đẩy phát triển và nâng cao khả năng cạnh tranh của ngành công nghiệp bán dẫn trẻ của TP.HCM.
