CapitaLand Development strengthens footprint in Vietnam

The agreement reflects both companies' interest in exploring future joint ventures in large-scale urban development. The partnership builds on CLD's existing presence within Vinhomes' master-planned communities, including Lumi Hanoi in Vinhomes Smart City and The Senique Hanoi in Vinhomes Ocean Park.

Tan Wee Hsien, CEO of CLD Vietnam and International, described Vietnam as one of CLD's core markets alongside Singapore and China. He said the partnership aims to more than double CLD's capital investment in the country over the next five years.

Nguyen Dieu Linh, vice chairwoman of Vingroup and a board member of Vinhomes, said the collaboration represents a step forward in Vinhomes' development strategy. She added that the joint efforts with CLD are aimed at building high-quality, internationally aligned urban areas that support the creation of modern and livable communities.

CLD also unveiled The Fullton, its first low-rise residential development in Hung Yen Province, within the Vinhomes Ocean Park 3 complex. The Fullton brings CLD's total residential development portfolio in Vietnam to over 19,000 units across 19 projects.

Located east of Hanoi, The Fullton benefits from access to major infrastructure routes including National Highway 5A, Ring Road 3.5, the Hanoi – Hai Phong Expressway, Ngoc Hoi Bridge, and the upcoming Tran Hung Dao Street. The project will include a variety of residential units—shophouses, cluster villas, garden villas, and single villas—within a gated community.

Tan said the project supports CLD's plan to reach 30,000 residential units in Vietnam by 2029, and noted the development's potential within the Northern Key Economic Region.

The Fullton will be built over 25 hectares in two phases. The first phase, covering 12 hectares, will include 342 units targeted for delivery in 2026. The second phase, across 13 hectares, is expected to add around 350 units by 2027.

Designed to offer a premium residential experience, The Fullton will feature a 1.9-hectare Central Park and amenities including a clubhouse with a 50-meter lap pool, outdoor jacuzzi, fitness center, event spaces, co-working areas, and a reading room.

Incorporating terraced landscaping inspired by Vietnam's natural terrain, the development is planned to integrate green spaces with residential living. It will offer a range of unit types intended to accommodate diverse lifestyles - from urban living to those seeking more tranquil, spacious environments.
