American pickleball team signs world number 1 player Ben Johns to replace prodigy Quang Duong

The team struck a deal with the Carolina Hogs to acquire Johns, a major addition after the departure of Duong, who had been their key doubles player.

Argentina’s Federico Staksrud currently tops the singles rankings.

At LA Mad Drops, Johns joins a star-studded lineup featuring Catherine Parenteau, Hunter Johnson and Jade Kawamoto, along with substitutes Mehvish Safdar and Wesley Burrows. Parenteau previously partnered with Duong in mixed doubles, winning 9 of 16 matches last season.
